Privacy policy
The General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy in the European Union and the European Economic Area. It also addresses the transfer of personal data outside the EU and EEA areas.
Our promise to you under GDPR
You and your data are important to us, as it helps us to provide a better service for you. Under GDPR regulations, your personal data shall be:
Processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner:
In the event that you seek an inter-store transfer or stock request from us, staff will request your name and contact number. Your data is stored discreetly and destroyed upon your receipt of the requested item.
Collected for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes:
For online orders you will be asked for your email so that we can confirm your order and update you on any changes. You will only receive an email if you have opted in to receiving occasional promotional emails from us.
In store, staff may request your consent to collect name, email address and mobile phone number for occasional promotional emails or SMS. This data is secured on a cloud based platform with two factor authentication (bank level security) and is only visible to store staff. It is your right to be removed from this at any time.
Adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary:
We do not store any information other than that which identifies you as the stock requesting customer. This is used to contact you when your requested item(s) arrive in store. If you have agreed to receiving occasional emails and/or SMS after May 25th 2019, your details will be stored on our secure cloud based system.
Accurate and kept up to date:
Staff will regularly ask you whether your data is correct. At this point or any other, it is your right to have this data removed from our records.
Kept in a form which permits identification of data subjects for no longer than is necessary:
In stock request situations, your information is destroyed immediately as a matter of course. For promotional emails/SMS, it is destroyed in compliance with your wishes.
Processed in a manner that ensures appropriate security, including protections against unauthorised or unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction or damage:
Two factor authentication with only staff access is our method of data security.
Trustpilot reviews:
We use a Trustpilot to show our customers trusted reviews from a Google approved third-party.
Several days after you receive your order, you should receive an email requesting you to review your purchase(s) and experience with Renaissance. While we really appreciate your feedback, it is ultimately your choice to review us.
As part of the review request process, Trustpilot uses cookies. Cookies identify your computer or device specifically, rather than you as an individual user and this helps to authenticate your review. For more information on Trustpilot's privacy and cookie policy please visit:
